Teen Patti Lotus (also called Indian Rummy and many other names) is a popular multiplayer rummy card game, usually played by four players. There are two decks of cards in the game, of which 52 cards are dealt face-down and two on the table. After the deck is dealt, the players must choose their own starting hand of 13 cards. They can either keep the hand they are dealt or discard one or more cards. Then, a player takes the opportunity to place the first life in a way that will create a pure or impure set. The second life is counted by the player that will be able to create an impure set. A player that is unable to create an impure set loses the game, while a player who can do so will get to count the impure set and the rest of the invalid sets of cards in the hand.

In general, an impure set can be called a game, while a set that contains two, three, or four cards of the same value will be counted. If the game is the first one, then it is called the First Life. If it is the second, then it is called the Second Life, and so on. If a player has at least three cards of the same value, he can create a pure set, which will count for five points. If he is unable to create a pure set, he will get counted 80 points in total, as if he had not participated in the game.
